Golden Rule, Turing Test @ Lincoln Center

The project that I’ve co-created with Lucas Pino, “Golden Rule, Turing Test,” is nearly ready to go! It will debut at Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola in Jazz at Lincoln Center on June 20th. “Golden Rule, Turing Test” is an exploration of the relationship of compassion and technology in the digital age for jazz nonet and two vocalists. I’ve been helping brainstorm the concepts and write the lyrics while Lucas has been writing and arranging the music. It’s sure to be an exciting premiere!

Ellington-Simon Recital

My new recital program is ready! I’ll be alternating between pieces by two great icons of American music – Duke Ellington and Paul Simon.

While Ellington’s music imbues the lives of America’s working classes with sophistication and elegance, Simon’s songs shine the spotlight on the personal and internal dramas of the American middle-class.

The recital will be performed:

Thursday, October 22: Cedarville University; Cedarville, OH (7:30, PM)

Saturday, October 24: In-home concert; Melbourne, FL (7:30 PM)

Sunday, October 25: Orchid Island; Vero Beach, FL (6 PM cocktail hour, 7:45 PM performance)

Monday, November 2: Dalton Center Recital Hall; Kalamazoo, MI (7:30, PM)

More dates to come!
