I’m rather proud to announce that i’ve been named the winner of the Nottingham International Jazz Piano Competition, which took place this previous weekend in Nottingham, England.

The prize is a Kawai grand piano worth in the neighborhood of $25,000! Congrats to the other finalists, my dear friends Jerry Leonide, Angelo DiLoreto, and Nick Hetko.

I’m now officially a Professor of Piano at Western Michigan University. As such, I’ll be commuting back and forth between Kalamazoo and New York City.

Journalist Dave Sumner wrote a very nice review of our live show from last week in Louisville, Kentucky. In summary, “It was an evening of beautiful, outstanding music.”
