Good news! Jeremy is once again selected as one of five pianists nationwide to compete to be the American Pianist Association’s Cole Porter Fellow, which comes along with $50,000 prize money and a free piano! Congrats as well to the other finalists: Glenn Zaleski, Emmet Cohen, Aaron Diehl, and Zach Lapidus. The finals will happen after much practicing in April 2011 in Indianapolis.
In addition, I’ll be leaving Saturday for a little Spring/Summer tour in:
- 5/14 Schenectady at Yours Jazz Club w/the Britton Brothers
- 5/15 Rochester at the Bop Shop w/the Britton Brothers
- 5/19 Rochester at the Memorial Art Gallery for the University of Rochester Garden Party
- 5/20 Philadelphia at Chris’ with the Britton Brothers
- 5/21 Baltimore at Andie Musik with the Britton Brothers AND
- 5/22 Washington D.C. with the Britton Brothers for a private gala
ALSO – I’m done with school. Barring any unforeseen tragedies, I should have my Master’s degree as of next week. Hooray!
AND – I’ll be doing a tour of California w/Graham Dechter, a tribute to the Oscar Peterson Trio (the drumless one with piano, bass, and drums). More on that later.
All the best,
Jeremy
