In the SoCal area? Save the date of October 19th!

You’re invited to join me in Cal State Long Beach’s Daniel Recital Hall where I’ll be presenting a new lecture-recital called “A Brief History of Jazz Piano.” I’m presenting the recital as the featured artist at the California Association of Professional Music Teachers convention. In addition to the live performance, a livestream link will be sent out about 2 days before the performance.

You’ll hear me play everything from stride and ragtime to bebop and blues. Artists whose music I’ll be performing include Duke Ellington, Bill Evans, Oscar Peterson, Marian McPartland, Fats Waller, Bud Powell, Herbie Hancock, Hiromi, Thelonious Monk, and more!

The 90-minute concert starts at 5:30 PM. Tickets are $20.
