There’s an awful lot of good stuff happening!
I just returned from a week-long trip in Kansas and Missouri. It was huge! I performed all 9 of my Perpetual Motion Etudes twice with students and faculty from University of Central Missouri and University of Kansas. I also got to do a jazz recital at KU, a house concert in Kansas City, 3 pedagogy presentations, a talk to the Kansas City Music Teachers Association, a jazz masterclass, and so much more!
Next up is a week with vocalist Lauren Kinhan, best known for her work with the New York Voices (but who also has had a stellar solo recording output). We’ll be performing all around the Pacific Northwest, mostly as part of Nich Anderson’s amazing JazzVox series. Check the calendar for more details.
In November, the main event is a Portugal-Spain tour with saxophonist Andrew Rathbun. We’ll be playing his Juno-nominated music from Atwood Suites as well as our own Debussy Improvisations.
Keep your eyes peeled for announcements of exciting concerts and collaborations in the Spring – I’ve got some fun things in the works!
