Hey all!
I’m excited to be starting my second year in New York City! Some exciting things happening recently:
- my episode of Marian McParland’s Piano Jazz has been re-aired on NPR and internationally. A lot of people have apparently heard it this go-around. Thanks to you all for your messages and support
- posting some new/different tracks up on the website, so make sure to keep your eye on the “listen” section
- I’m adding a new section to the website: scores! You can check out a few of my tunes if you care to
- I’ve also added new pictures and updated my bio and resume so that they’re at least somewhat true 🙂
- the Britton Brothers are getting closer and closer to launching their CD, Uncertain Living. Their website looks awesome: www.TheBrittonBrothers.com. You can also watch a music video of one of the tracks here:
- I’m playing every week at Dock’s Oyster Bar near Grand Central station. Check them out at www.docksoysterbar.com
- I’m moving in with a couple of fine musicians: drummer Josh Davis (learn more at www.joshdavismusic.com, and saxophonist Tony Lustig, who’ll be moving to NYC to go to Julliard. We’ll be moving to Columbus Ave between 106th and 107th. Stalkers, I’ll see you there.
- I’ll be starting teaching lessons at Bergen Yamaha in New Jersey in September. Focus will be on composition and jazz
- just got back from touring Ireland with my family! Great times!
- more on some other inchoate projects later…
